Why Therapeutic Singing Lessons?

Just as your skin gets looser - so does your voice. If you aren't using your voice like before (yelling after kids, calling out to others or leading a meeting) your voice muscles get weaker. Suddenly, you're having trouble being heard or understood.  Is it their hearing or your voice?

Love those songs you grew up with? Let's sing and use techniques to strengthen the muscles of your voice so you can speak strong and clear.

It's fun!

Have trouble getting around? I travel to you or your loved one. We can work anywhere. No arranging transportation or needing to find a special place to work!

Disclaimer: Lessons may include use of a kazoo, reading old radio play scripts, singing karaoke, laughing or dancing. Spirits may be raised and joy may be found. As always consult with a physician before attempting anything that may result in happiness. 🙂

Health Benefits of Therapeutic Singing:

Increased blood flow to the brain * Improved lung capacity * Cardio-vascular exercise * Loosens phlegm * Boosted memory recall from singing familiar songs * Help to prevent or decrease depression * Increased mental clarity

Lessons and exercises are designed to address the specific needs and interestsof the senior, and use techniques developed by Speech Language Pathologists
and Doctors of Vocology.
