Musical Theater Audition and Performance Coaching for Teens and Kids

Unleash Your Child’s Star:
Audition & Performance Coaching for Musical Theater Singers

Help Your Child Shine in Musical Theater Auditions
I’m passionate about helping young people (7 - 18) discover their voice and confidence on stage. Audition & Performance Coaching for Musical Theater Singers is designed to help your child perform with confidence, build their vocal and stage technique, and truly enjoy the process.

Why Choose Me?

Fun & Engaging Coaching for Kids
I understand that kids need an environment that feels encouraging, safe, and most importantly—fun! My coaching is tailored to keep your child engaged while building their voice and performance skills. I want every lesson to inspire and motivate.

Tailored to Every Young Voice
Every child’s voice is unique. I work with kids of all ages and vocal ranges to help them develop solid technique that fits their natural voice.

Building Confidence Through Performance
I know that getting a role can be intimidating for kids. My goal is to help your child not just learn their parts, but connect with it emotionally and bring it to life on stage. Through practice and positive encouragement, I’ll help them build the confidence to perform in front of others with joy and excitement.

Flexible Coaching to Fit Busy Schedules
I know how busy kids and parents can be with school, activities, and everything in between, so I can accommodate your family’s changing schedule to make sure your child gets the coaching they need.

Services I Offer:

1. Musical Theater Song Preparation
Selecting the right song for an audition is key! I’ll help your child choose a piece that fits their vocal range and allows them to show off their unique personality. I’ll also teach them how to connect emotionally to the song, making it not just a performance, but a story they get to tell.

2. Voice Technique
I’ll teach your child the fundamentals of vocal technique—breath control, pitch accuracy, projection—in an age-appropriate way. With a solid vocal foundation, they’ll be able to take on any role with confidence, whether it’s belting a high note or delivering a tender ballad.

3. Monologue Preparation
Unless the monologue is pre-chosen by the theater program, students often need help choosing and preparing an appropriate monologue.  I help your child find and prepare a monologue that fits the role they are auditioning for, and coach them to give their best performance.

4. Mock Auditions
I want your child to walk into their real auditions feeling calm and prepared. That’s why I offer mock auditions where we’ll rehearse everything they'll need to know to have a well prepared audition - from the moment they enter the room to when they exit. Directors and theater staff will be impressed with their preparation, and know they are dealing with a pro!

5. Overcoming Performance Anxiety
It’s completely normal for kids to feel nervous before an audition. I provide gentle coaching to help your child manage their nerves and feel relaxed and confident. Through positive reinforcement and relaxation techniques, I’ll help them focus on the fun of performing rather than stressing about it.

Success Stories from Parents

"Both my daughter and I love NW Vocal Arts (Malya). I have been taking my daughter to Malya for a couple of years now and her vocals are so different from then and no,. Amazing!
